Saline Memorial Hospital welcomes the first baby of 2025
January 3, 2025

BENTON, Ark. (January 3, 2025) – Saline Memorial Hospital is ringing in 2025 celebrating the year’s first bundle of joy, a baby girl named Ma’loni.
Iris, the child’s mom, gave birth at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1. Ma’loni weighed 4 pounds and 15 ounces and measured 19.25 inches.
“We are so excited to welcome our newest family member!” said Iris. “Thank you to the physicians, nurses and staff at Saline Memorial Hospital for taking such great care of us and for making our family feel special. It’s a great way to start the new year!”
Saline Memorial Hospital has a team of four obstetricians and three pediatricians to care for mothers and newborns. The hospital is a member of Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s Nursery Alliance, which facilitates training, sharing of best practices and coordination of care between Arkansas Children’s Hospital and member hospitals.
The Labor and Delivery department underwent a refresh in 2024 to have a brighter, more modern look, and the hospital offers free childbirth and breastfeeding classes, nitrous oxide as alternative for pain management, and an on-site lactation consultant who is available three days per week as a resource for parents. More information on the labor and delivery services is available at 501.776.6300 or at SalineMemorial.org/Labor-and-Delivery.
“A child’s birth is a time of joy, and we love sharing these moments with growing families,” said Dr. Angela Myles, OB-GYN. “Everybody here at Saline Memorial Hospital is committed to providing exceptional care before and after delivery.”
