As part of our weight loss program, we believe in living more. Whether it's riding your first roller coaster, buying that outfit you've always wanted or simply feeling better, we want to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
That's why we have created a weight loss program in Arkansas that's all about you. With our expert weight loss physicians and dedicated bariatric coordinator and dietician, you can count on us to help you every step of the way on your weight loss journey.
Our weight loss program is one of the only nationally accredited bariatric surgery centers in Arkansas. We are accredited through MBSAQIP, as a Center of Excellence with Optum and as a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatrics with BlueCross BlueShield. That means more insurance companies will cover bariatric surgery at Saline than at non-accredited weight loss facilities. Although we have satellite clinics throughout the state, surgeries are performed at Saline Memorial Hospital, which has a Grade A rating from Leapfrog for patient safety and is accredited with the Joint Commission for meeting quality and safety best practices.
Our program has been voted Best Weight-Loss Clinic for the past two years in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, and our surgeons have been recognized by voters in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and AY magazine.
We understand that losing weight and keeping it off is difficult. It not only harms your health, but your quality of life and the way you feel about yourself. That's why we offer both surgical and non-surgical solutions for weight management.
Gastric Sleeve This bariatric surgery (also known as sleeve gastrectomy, or simply ‘the sleeve’) decreases the size of the stomach, limiting the amount of food that can be eaten at one time. |
Gastric Bypass In this procedure, the surgeon staples off a large section of the stomach, creating a tiny pouch, and then connects the small intestine to the pouch. |
Lap Band The gastric band helps you gradually lose and control your weight by controlling your hunger, allowing you to control your food intake and supporting long term, sustainable weight loss. |
Non-Surgical Orbera Balloon Want to lose 20 to 50 pounds? The Orbera Balloon could be right for you. In this 15-minute procedure, a balloon is inserted into the stomach and filled with saline solution. That’s it! Patients feel fuller with less food, which helps control portion sizes for proven weight loss. |
Overstitch If you have regained significant weight years after weight loss surgery, you may be a candidate for a new endoscopic procedure called Overstitch that offers lowered risk of infection, limited post-operative pain, no visible scars and faster recovery times. |
MEDICALLY SUPERVISED WEIGHT LOSS Medical weight loss is a plan designed and supervised by healthcare professionals, emphasizing diet, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Patients will receive an individualized diet plan, fitness goals and prescription weight loss medications when medically necessary. |
