BENTON, Ark. (Jan. 12, 2023) – Saline Memorial Hospital recently earned a three-year accreditation from CARF International for its acute inpatient rehabilitation program.
The accreditation signifies that Saline’s acute inpatient rehab has committed to meeting standards for high quality care as defined by CARF, to focusing on the unique needs of each patient and to monitoring the results of its services.
“We want everyone in Saline County to know that when they come to our acute rehab program, they are getting the highest quality care possible,” said CEO Michael Stewart. “This accreditation validates that because an external agency has just confirmed that our team is consistently applying evidence-based best practices.”
In order to earn accreditation, the program’s leaders conducted an internal examination of the program and its practices and submitted the findings. Then, a team of experts from CARF International completed an on-site survey and wrote a report identifying the program’s strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Based on the findings, CARF recommended Saline Memorial Hospital receive a three-year accreditation, which is the highest level. (The other possible results are one-year accreditation, provisional accreditation and non-accreditation.)
“Going though the accreditation process showed us a lot of areas where our team is excelling,” said Coral Robison, program director for the acute rehab and therapy services. “We are excited to have this accreditation that bears witness to the quality of our program.”
